The ManKind Initiative was the first charity in Great Britain to support male victims of domestic abuse (registered in 2001). Since then, they have been at the forefront of providing services and support for male victims and campaigning to ensure that male victims receive the support they need from other organisations.
If you are a victim of domestic abuse, you are not alone, they are there to help. No matter what your background, age, job, race or sexuality, they are there to give all the support they can.

You are not to blame
The ManKind Iniative’s aim is to ensure all male victims of domestic abuse (and their children) are supported to enable them to escape from the situation they are in. They are gender inclusive in their view so they want all female victims (and their children) to escape too.
For many men, calling our anonymous helpline is the first step they have made in talking to someone else about the problems they face. Whether it is information or just someone to listen to you, please call their helpline on: 01823 334244
The helpline is operated by trained people who can give both listening and practical support as well as providing information.
The charity also welcome calls from mothers, sisters, daughters, brothers, sons, friends, work colleagues seeking information they know or think is a victim. They are there to help.
