Macmillan Cancer Support and The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust work together to provide a local Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Centre for Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas.
The service is staffed by a Manager and Assistant who are supported by volunteers, some of whom have personal experience of living with cancer.
What do they offer?
The Macmillan Cancer Support Centre is located on the main corridor (C1) of New Cross Hospital, where you and your loved ones can feel listened to, helped, informed and supported.
They can provide information that covers all aspects of the cancer journey, including pre-diagnosis, diagnosis and treatments, living with and beyond cancer, palliative and end of life care. Their free confidential drop in service offers emotional support, information, practical and financial advice to anyone effected by cancer, whether you are a patients, their family, friends, or carers.
Their wellbeing programme of workshops include Look Good, Feel Better sessions, Headlines Hair Loss Service, Nail Specialist and Complementary Therapies. Staffed by a Macmillan Professional and supported by trained volunteers. They work closely with Macmillan Welfare Rights Service for financial support, help with benefits and access to grants. They’re there to support you.

The Centre is based at New Cross Hospital in friendly, accessible surroundings. You can drop in without an appointment and you don’t need a professional referral. All discussions are in complete confidence and they welcome anyone who needs their help.
