Staffordshire Diabetes Sports Day

Sports activities running all day, including: races, laser tag, dodgeball and PARENTS RACE with opportunities for prizes throughout the day. Children’s sports activities for Children and young people, provided by Time4Sport, siblings welcome to join in and participate while parents/carers attend education sessions (Minimum age 3 to participate in activities).

An exciting opportunity to learn how to manage your child’s blood glucose levels during sports and exercise. Meet the ‘experts’ in the field and athletes with lived experiences of managing type 1 diabetes alongside competitive sports. As well as a Q&A panel of children and young people with diabetes, a guest speaker and families.

Meet other local families with children and young people with diabetes. Suitable for all ages, bring along the whole family!

Meet our sponsors as well as representatives from T1D Warriors Staffordshire and Stoke and Diabetes UK West Midlands Youth Group.

With big thanks to our hosts St Dominic’s Priory School, Stone, who have provided the facilities for the days events free of charge.

The event will be manned by health care professionals with experience of diabetes a first aid station will be present.

There is a £5 non-refundable deposit per family to guarantee your place, all proceeds will go to T1D Warriors which goes towards funding events for Children and Young People across Staffordshire. Special considerations will be allowed.

Lunch will not be provided however there will be snacks and drinks available throughout the days events as well as emergency hypo treatment.
