DESCRIPTION:Are you over 50 and interested in knitting/sewing? \nIf so why not come along to our art and craft group? You may want to share your skills by helping to make comfort dolls. These are dolls made to help support people with dementia\, alternatively you may wish to bring your own work with you. We are a small friendly group who meet each Tuesday afternoon 12.30pm -2.30pm at The Workspace\, All Saints Road (Satnav WV2 2AW). \n\n\n\nJoin our Art and Craft Group\nCome and join us at our friendly Art and Craft Group (knitting\, sewing etc) giving you the perfect opportunity to share your skills or learn new ones. Along with other activities\, our group makes and gifts comfort dolls to people with dementia\, so you can make a real difference as well as meeting new people. We’d love you to be part of it. \n

DESCRIPTION:This meditation course will offer valuable tools to work directly with your mind to cultivate awareness and positive emotional states.\n\n\nThis meditation course will offer valuable tools to work directly with your mind to cultivate awareness and positive emotional states such as well-wishing and friendliness. \nThe point of Buddhist meditation is to reduce the suffering we experience due to what Buddhists call “unskilful” actions – actions based on craving\, anger and ignorance – by training ourselves instead to act “skilfully” out of awareness\, kindness\, generosity and empathy.  \nFor the course\, we ask for a deposit of £25 at the point when you book to secure your place. We suggest a total payment of £90 or a concessionary rate of £60 for the whole course. However\, we don’t want anyone to feel excluded from taking part if that is too much\, so please feel free to talk to your course leader and suggest a different amount if you need to.  \nAny questions please email Darren at bookings@shrewsburybuddhistcentre.co.uk
